The State Board of Technical Education (SBTE), Patna, Bihar, is responsible for evaluation and certification of six - semester Diploma Courses of all the Polytechnic Institutions affiliated to the SBTE Bihar. It has been constituted vide govt. order no. 75/Dir dated 31st May, 1955 under the Science, Technology and Technical Education Department , Government of Bihar. Since its formation the board is striving continuously for betterment of academic standard of Polytechnic Institutions of this State. SBTE offers a wide range of diploma and certificate programs in various fields of engineering and technology. The institution is committed to excellence and innovation in education, preparing students for careers in the ever-evolving technical landscape.
Government Polytechnic Barauni, Begusarai is the primer institute of the state imparting diploma level education in different fields of engineering situated in the industrial most developed town. Government Polytechnic Barauni, Begusarai is situated amidest big near by Industries like Refinery of I.O.C. Fertilizer plant of H.F.C., B.T.P.S. and various small scale, medium scale industries.
